Owner Comments:  This truck was originally robin egg blue, 97,000 mile bare bones truck (only PS), powered by a straight six and automatic transmission.  Why start with such a stripped junker?  It was rust free, clean, and cheap.  My sixteen year old son wanted a project, insurance was practically nothing, and parts were easy to find.  This truck has been repainted panel by panel, all metal work hammered and straightened (no bondo!), urethane primer, base coat/clear coat, sand, polish, polish, polish, polish, bright red with white lower two-tone.  Exterior upgrades include newer style tailgate, stainless steel mirrors (we really wanted the “break-away” late 90’s Suburban/Blazer power style but could not find any), and newer style vent windows.  On the interior we added OEM air conditioning, power windows, power locks, tinted glass, upgraded dash from an 87 Suburban, got lucky and found a  factory tach cluster, factory AM/FM cassette with a bazooka sub and 12 disc changer mp3 player, tilt wheel with wipers and dimmers on the column, headliner/moldings & lights, and a seat from a 1993 Silverado.  The drivetrain consist of a 350 4-bolt main backed by a 200r4 transmission (yes, these work great if you set them up correctly) with the gasses taken away via a dual stainless steel exhaust system hooked up to stock cast iron manifolds.
