Owner Comments:  My name is Dave Davis and I recently found your site, and love it.  My truck is a 1983 Chevrolet Silverado extended cab.  It started out as a single cab long box and the owner sent it out and had the cab grafted to it and cut the bed.  I purchased it in 2001 with 83,000 miles on it, it had a 6.2 diesel engine and 700r4 transmission...it was a one owner truck.  I have since been through three gas engines and two transmissions.  Currently the truck is lowered 4 1/2 in the front and 6 inches in the rear, I plan to install air bags and a 496ci big block.
